1st and 2nd pic i am very happy and take the pics to show off to friends. But upon the 1st hot drink a nasty big crack appears, and grows. After rinsing the mug out you can see all the other cracks inside that are somewhat more than surface cracks in the glaze. What is worrying is if you look closely at the widest crack (starts at rim, from inside view), you can see a discoloration of the glaze either side, this i would say is consistent with a finger rubbing glaze over the crack. This explains the apparent absence of crack when first seen. I think this would've happened after initial white glaze applied and before the green brushed on. This shows knowledge of crack and weakness, being purposely covered over. I am from the 'Potteries' (Stoke-on-Trent,UK), and have some knowledge of ceramics. I feel flaws in a mug such as these, greatly increase the risk of it's failure, in which i mean, loss in integrity when a hot drink is contained. And with it's design obviously appealing to children mostly, means a risk of scalding to the drinker, which will therefore more than likely be a child. Amazon stop selling from this factory,company, and give me my money back.
